Shaker Chairs have been proudly built by S. Timberlake since 1974. This site is dedicated to our Shaker Reproduction chairs, rocking chairs, and stools we still craft by hand in our Bethel, Maine workshops.
We have made hundreds of chairs over the past thirty four years and each one was unique in some way, perhaps the style, the Shaker tape combinations and seat pattern, always the beautiful wood grains, and just as often, the customer. It is truly a pleasure to build functional furniture for families who utilize our Shaker furniture everyday in their homes. It is a testament to the thoughtful designs of the Shakers that in our fast-paced and busied world, their classic designs continue to offer strength and an aesthetic that is simple and soothing.
